The Bio-skin facade takes advantage of Abu Dhabi’s solar and wind patterns. Its outer layer is covered with Kinetik penalization that reacts on sun position and wind direction in real-time to effectively ventilate and insolate the building interior. Bio layers such as vertical and horizontal greenery were used to control the microclimate inside of the skyscraper.
