How Client Source Explorer works

Client Source Explorer shows aggregated trends from anonymous submissions. It helps you see which channels artists most often use to find clients.

What to submit

  1. Work type — choose what best describes you right now (Freelancer or Studio).
  2. Client sources — tick the channels that actually brought you clients (select multiple if needed).
  3. Country — choose the country where you primarily work / sell your services.

How the stats are calculated

  • One user = one active vote: only your latest submission is used in the live analytics. Submitting again updates your current vote (anti-spam).
  • Global shows worldwide results (toggle Freelancers / Studios).
  • Local shows results for your country + work type. It appears after at least 3 submissions from different users in the same segment.

Each submission is saved as a separate data point for long-term trend tracking. Old submissions are not deleted.

At the same time, the live rankings use only your latest submission, so one user cannot inflate results by submitting repeatedly.

Please avoid submitting too often. Update your data no more than once every 2–3 months, or only when your situation has meaningfully changed.

Tips

  • Be consistent: submit what reflects your current situation (you can update later).
  • If several sources work for you — tick them all, but avoid options that didn’t bring real clients.
  • No personal data is published — only aggregated statistics.
