PAC 2026: Portugal’s First Conference Dedicated to Archviz, AI and Real-Time Visualization

Architecture visualization has evolved far beyond static rendering.

Today, the industry sits at the intersection of architecture, cinematic storytelling, real-time technology, artificial intelligence and immersive digital experiences. Studios are no longer simply producing images — they are building visual communication systems that help architects, developers and brands sell ideas, secure investment and shape perception.

While countries across Europe have seen the rise of dedicated communities and industry events focused on architectural visualization, Portugal has lacked a national platform capable of bringing this ecosystem together.

PAC 2026 — Portuguese Archviz Conference — aims to change that.

Taking place in Lisbon on October 31st, 2026, PAC 2026 will become the first major conference in Portugal fully dedicated to architecture visualization, real-time rendering, AI-driven workflows and digital design communication.

More than just another CG event, PAC was created with a clear objective: to connect artists, studios, architects, developers, technology brands, educators and students under one shared vision for the future of visualization.

A Growing Industry Looking for Connection

Over the last decade, Portugal has quietly become home to an increasingly strong creative and technical ecosystem in architecture and visualization.

Portuguese artists and studios are contributing to international projects across Europe, the Middle East and North America. The country has developed a reputation for high-quality creative talent, architectural culture and competitive production capabilities.

At the same time, the industry itself is changing rapidly.

Artificial intelligence is beginning to reshape concept generation and production workflows. Real-time rendering engines such as Unreal Engine are transforming the way projects are presented and experienced. Interactive experiences, cinematic animations and immersive environments are becoming part of everyday communication within architecture and real estate.

Despite this momentum, there has been no dedicated platform in Portugal capable of creating meaningful dialogue between all these disciplines.

PAC 2026 was born from that gap.

Beyond Rendering

One of the central ideas behind PAC is simple: the future of architectural visualization is not only about rendering.

The industry is moving toward experiences.

Visualization artists today are increasingly involved in storytelling, branding, interaction design, virtual production, AI-assisted workflows and real-time presentation systems. The line between architect, designer, filmmaker and technical artist continues to blur.

PAC intends to reflect this evolution.

The conference will feature talks, case studies and discussions covering topics such as:

  • Architectural visualization pipelines
  • Unreal Engine and real-time workflows
  • AI tools for design and visualization
  • Cinematic storytelling in architecture
  • Virtual reality and immersive experiences
  • Design communication
  • Technical production workflows
  • The business side of visualization studios
  • The future relationship between architecture and digital technology

Alongside the conference talks, PAC also plans to include networking areas, brand activations, workshops and opportunities for collaboration between professionals, students and technology partners.

Building a Serious and International Platform

One of PAC’s ambitions is to establish itself as a credible and professionally curated event within the international archviz community.

The goal is not simply to create a local meetup, but to build a platform capable of connecting Portugal with the wider global visualization industry.

Lisbon offers a particularly strong setting for this vision. Over recent years, the city has become an increasingly important European hub for technology, creativity and innovation, attracting international companies, startups, architects and digital artists from around the world.

PAC intends to leverage that energy while maintaining a focused identity centered around architecture visualization and design technology.

The event is expected to bring together studios, freelancers, architects, students, software companies, hardware brands and creative professionals interested in the future of digital visualization.

A New Generation of Artists

Another important aspect of PAC is education and community development.

A new generation of artists is entering the industry at a time of enormous technological transformation. The emergence of AI tools, procedural workflows and real-time environments is changing not only how projects are created, but also the skill sets required to remain competitive.

PAC aims to create a space where experienced professionals and emerging talent can interact directly, exchange knowledge and discuss the future of the profession openly.

The conference also hopes to strengthen the relationship between educational institutions and the professional market, helping students better understand the evolving realities of the industry.

Looking Ahead

PAC 2026 represents an important step for the Portuguese visualization community.

At a moment when architecture visualization is rapidly evolving into a broader digital communication discipline, the need for spaces that encourage collaboration, discussion and innovation has never been greater.

Portugal has the talent, the creative culture and the international connections necessary to become an important voice within the global archviz industry.

PAC 2026 intends to help make that happen.

The conference will take place on October 31st, 2026, in Lisbon, Portugal.

Thanks for pointing that out, you’re absolutely right. Render Camp and Simple or Difficult are doing great work for the community, and their free content is incredibly valuable. Really appreciate you mentioning them, we’ll definitely add both to the list.

You can't leave out Render camp and Simple or Difficult. Those channels are literally the best; giving out free lessons worth thousands of dollars.

This 3D model beautifully captures the iconic Flowerpot VP1 design! Given its historical ties to the Flower Power movement, how do you handle the materials to best replicate that retro aesthetic?
